Anna Marrone (Varvaro)

Anna Marrone (Varvaro), 85, of Akron, passed away April 19, 2008.

Born in Akron, she graduated from North High School. Anna will be remembered for her zest for life. She was an avid bridge player and belonged to several flights and also enjoyed playing poker with family and friends. In 1999 Anna was inducted to the ARC Hall of Fame with over 37 years of service. She will be remembered as a woman of faith and was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church. Golf was her hobby and she was a member of the Goodpark Ladies Golf League. "Her smile will live on in our memories."

Preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, James, in 2003, she is survived by daughter, Marian (Kent) Houser; and son, Vincent; grandchildren, Brittany, Shannon and Kelsey; brothers, Joseph (Julie) Varvaro, John (Helen) Varvaro, Charles (Betty) Varvaro; sister-in-law, Betty Landrum; many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the wonderful and caring staff at the Hospice Care Center on Ridgewood Road.
