
Christine Barbuto
Christine Barbuto, born November 19, 1920 in Newell, Pa., passed away in Akron where she was a longtime resident on May 11, 2007.
Mrs. Barbuto was a member of St. Anthony Church. She will be re-membered as a well-known waitress who began her career at Sanginiti's Restaurant for 27 years before retiring at the age of 82 from Anthe's, where she worked from 1978 until 2003. Her warm smile, zest for lift and her fantastic memory made her a favorite with restaurant patrons. Her customers were an extension of her family who she knew by names, serving them for several generations. Although Christine had a strong work ethic, the most important thing in her life was her husband, Vito, whom she was married to for 68 years and who preceded her in death on February 16, 2007.
She was proud of her sons, Stephen (Maggie) and Mark (Rose); grandchildren, Nicholas and Alexis. Her memory will live on in their hearts. Christine also leaves her sister, Ann Marinucci; brothers, Albert and Dominic Letta. Special friend, Tina Dunlap, along with her dogs, Sophie and Scooter. Also preceding her in death where her brothers, Mario, Sam and Joe Letta.
Calling hours Monday 5 to 8 p.m. at the Dunn-Quigley-Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home, 810 Portage Tr., Cuyahoga Falls. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Church. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
