Clarence Carl Maxwell

Clarence Carl Maxwell went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2006.

He was a lifetime resident of Akron, Ohio. After graduating from North High School, he went on to be a United States Navy veteran. He was employed at Mac-Tac and retired after 22 years. Clarence was a member of Yale Street Church of God.

He was preceded in death by wife, Carolyn A. Maxwell; son, Michael A. Maxwell; and father, Luther Maxwell. He is survived by son, Lamount Maxwell of Akron, Ohio; mother, Sarah E. Maxwell; brothers, Marvin Maxwell, Luther (Franchetta) Maxwell, and Steven Maxwell; sisters, Darlene Welch, Ruthie Maxwell, all of Akron, Ohio, and Rosemary Flowers of Arlington, Texas; mother-in-law, Louise K. Caffee; brother-in-law, Samuel (Charlotte) Caffee; sisters-in-law, Diane L. Jones, Gloria L. Fitch, and Sharon D. Caffee, all of Akron, Ohio; nine grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 27, 2006, at 1 p.m., at Stewart & Calhoun Funeral Home, Rev. Ulysses Bratcher and Nathaniel Williams officiating. Interment at Glendale Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to 1105 Orlando Ave., Akron, Ohio 44320. (Stewart & Calhoun, (330-535-1543.)
