Edmund
Ostroski
A life long North Hill resident, Edmund Ostroski 82, passed away January 15,
2005.
A 1941 North High graduate, Ed was a versatile three- sport athlete whose
baseball prowess caught the eye of the Cleveland Indians.
Ed loved his numerous family gatherings and in particular enjoyed watching his
children and grandchildren in sports and other activities. He looked forward to
his monthly luncheon with his high school friends. A long time CYO coach and
league director, he was inducted in the CYO Hall of Honor in 1982 for his
volunteer service. Ed retired from BF Goodrich in 1984 after a 43 year career.
Preceded in death by parents, John and Jenny (Balcerksi) Ostroski and sisters,
Genevieve and Helen Sanner, he leaves his devoted wife of 61 years, Kathleen (Considine)
Ostroski and eleven children: daughters, Mary Kay (Joe) Bodnar, Patricia,
Maureen (Anthony) Nasrallah, Loretta, Martha (Michael) Huber, and Tina; and
sons, Dennis, John, Mark, Timothy (Mary Alice), and Richard (Nilsa). He also
leaves grand children, Heather (John) Schober, Joey Bodnar, Megan, Josh and Erin
Nasrallah, Jared Barnett, Chelsie, Kindelan and Jacob Huber, Carmen Ostroski,
Jacqueline Ostroski; great- grandchild, Natalie Schober; brother, Zigmund
(Jenny) and a vast extended family.
Visitation will be from 4-8 P.M., TODAY, at HENNESSY Funeral Home (formerly
Rossi), 552 North Main St., Akron. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00
A.M., Tuesday, at Saint Martha Catholic Church. A caring cremation will follow.
