Frank P. Campanale, Sr.

Frank Peter Campanale, Sr. passed away Friday, April 4, 2008.

A native of Akron, Frank was married for 49 years and devoted to Angelina "Jean" Campanale (nee Fulciniti) who passed away in 2001. Frank was a 1935 graduate of North High School and a member of St. Anthony of Padua parish. He was proud of his military service in the European theatre of World War II and cherished many memories of his dances at East Market Garden, his North Hill and Dean Heights friends, travels with the Beacon Journal Red Peppers bantam football team in the '30's, and his family and many friends. He retired from B.F. Goodrich in 1982 with over 30 years of service.

Frank is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Diane of LaGrange, Ga.; son, Frank; who preceded him in death, and daughter-in-law Sharon of Chandler, Ariz.; son, David of Uniontown, Ohio; son, Anthony of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; grandchildren, Meredith, Megan (Nick), Katherine, Shawna (Tom), Vincent, Bree, Matthew, Michael, Melissa, and Giovanni; great-grandchildren, Kyle and Kade; his sister, Anna Powell of Uniontown, Ohio; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Judy and Gary Beckman of Clinton, Ohio; many nieces and nephews; daughters-in-law, Carla Campanale and Jeanine Campanale.

The family will receive friends and family from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, April 7, 2008 at the Donovan Funeral Home 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle). Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. at St Anthony Catholic Church. Interment will be at Northlawn Memorial Park where American Legion Post #281 will conduct military rites. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Anthony Church, 83 Mosser Place.
