Lena Antionette Crisafulli (Simone)

TALLMADGE -- Lena Antionette Crisafulli (Simone), 89, went home to be with the Lord April 1, 2008.

Born in Western-port, Maryland on March 6, 1919, Lena lived in the Akron area for most of her life. She was a 1937 graduate of Akron North High School and worked at several area supermarkets and retired from the Falls Sparkle Market where she worked in the bakery. Lena attended First Assembly of God Church in Akron.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Angelina Simone; brothers, Dominic, Joe and Sam Simone and sister, Mary Motyka. She is survived by her husband, Frank Crisafulli (they would have celebrated their 68th anniversary on April 13th); son, Joe (Joyce) of Medina; granddaughter, Rebecca (Richard) Preussler of Glyndon, Minnesota; granddaughter, Patricia (Robert) Brenneman of Medina; great-grandchildren, Alex and Morgan Brenneman and Margreta and Joseph Preussler; brother-in-law, Rev. Charles (Rosalie) Crisafulli of Fairlawn; sisters-in-law, Marian Simone and Kay Simone, both of Fresno, California; and numerous, nephews, nieces, and cousins.

The family would like to thank the staffs at Heather Knoll Nursing Center of Tallmadge, Wadsworth Pointe of Wadsworth, and Crossroads Hospice of Hudson for their care and concern for Lena.

Friends may call 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday at DONOVAN FUNERAL HOME, 17 SOUTHWEST AVE. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle). Funeral services 1 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2008 at the funeral home, with Pastor Kent Jarvis officiating. Burial at Tallmadge Cemetery.
