P. Lentine
Joseph P. Lentine, 85, of Copley, passed away April 9, 2007. He was born to James and Minnie on May 31, 1921, in South Fork, Pa. Joseph was a World War II veteran, but was best known for his gift of music. He worked as a band director for the Akron Public Schools for 32 years until retiring in 1977 from Firestone High School to open Lentine's Music, where he worked for the past 30 years. He loved being outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing, golfing and boating. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph will be greatly missed by his wife of 56 years, Vilma; brother, James (Lisette); sister, Mary (Carmen) Rizzo; sons, Martin, Michael (Kelly), Matthew (Denice); grandchildren, Jessica, Sarah, Ryan, Joseph, James, Holly; sisters-in-law, Lucille Nicola, Lena Maroon, Madeline LaHurd, Rosemary Ezzie; and many nieces and nephews.
