Jean Morrison
Marjorie Jean Morrison was born November 28, 1921 and passed away on April 4, 2008 after a two year illness.
She was a life time resident of North Hill and was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, John Charles (Jack) Morrison and her parents, Houston and Gladys Long.
She was especially proud of her six family members who were and are Akron Firemen--her father, husband, sons, John and Tom and grandsons, John and Tim. She enjoyed making beautiful stain glass, ceramics, being involved in Jackson School PTA, and taking great care of her family.
She will be deeply and lovingly missed by her children, John (Kay), Tom (Linda), Patty (Larry), Connie (Joe), and Jim; 12 grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren.
Funeral service 12 noon Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at
Woodland United Methodist Church, 444 N. Hawkins Ave., Akron, with Pastor
Raymond J. Kovach officiating. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National
Cemetery in Rittman. Friends may call 5 until 8 p.m. Tuesday (TODAY) at the
DONOVAN FUNERAL HOME, 17 SOUTHWEST AVE. (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle)
and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. In lieu of
other remembrances, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Summa, 444
N. Main St., Akron 44310.
