Patrick William McKeivier

Patrick William McKeivier, born August 27, 1954, in Akron, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on March 3, 2007.

Patrick was preceded in death by his beloved uncle, William Maine of Everett, Mass.

Patrick was the oldest son of Lee Byrnes of Roswell, N.M., and Louis Karl (Margaret) McKeivier of Dunnellon, Fla. He leaves behind, his children, Maureen and Patrick. He was the brother of Donna Galstad, Laurie Shepherd, Ellen (Stephen) Dedinsky, Paula (Tom) Dudark, Robert McKeivier, and Kathy Purtill. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews and great-nephews.

Patrick will be most remembered for his quick wit, impromptu writing, poetry, love of music and his deep affection for the city of New Orleans.

A Catholic Mass will be celebrated in his honor at St. Martha Catholic Church, 300 E. Tallmadge Ave., Akron, Ohio, Saturday, March 31, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. A wake will be held at the home of his sister, Ellen Dedinsky, at her Rootstown home, immediately after the service. Donations may be made to American Heart Association.
