Samuel N. "Sammy" Haddad

 

Samuel N. "Sammy" Haddad, 59, passed away Feb. 26, 2007.

He was born in Akron where he lived all of his life. He served for four years in the United States Air Force. Sammy retired after 35 years of service for the City of Akron. He loved sports and expressed his love through coaching area youths in WABL and the North Akron Hot Stove Leagues. Sammy will be remembered for his bright smile and amazing ability to light up a room with laughter.

He touched the lives of many and will never be forgotten.

He was preceded in death by his father, Nicholas Haddad, and is survived by his wife, "Sis" Rosemarie of 27 years, his one and only true love; daughters, Tammy Kouri and Gobriel (Doug) Rembold; sons, Randy Kouri and Joshua Haddad; mother, Esperanza "Hope" Haddad; sister, Christina (Mario) Kondis; brother, Judge Victor (Betsy) Haddad; many nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters-in-law.

Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, at St. George Orthodox Church, 3204 Ridgewood Rd., Akron. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at HENNESSY Funeral Home, 552 N. Main St., Akron (corner of York and Main). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Akron, 780 East Exchange St., Akron.
